If the metaphor for the levels of perspective is a ladder then dualism would encompass the entire ladder, the person climbing it and the process of climbing. The rise of the ego and the entire concept of being an individual best describe dualism. As the ladder is climbed dualism fades. The highest rung of the ladder (highest perspective) is non-dualism. The prime directive, the point of our existence, is to reach the highest rung of the ladder.
